William Kemp Bullard, Sr., 71, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 4, 2025 at Trellis Supportive Care. He was born on October 24, 1954 in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Kemp and Bernice Thompson Bullard.

William received his formal education through the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and graduated from East Forsyth High School. Understanding the importance of faith and a strong foundation, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at United Progressive Baptist Church. Throughout the years, he served faithfully in multiple ministry roles, including choir director and assistant Sunday School superintendent.

Professionally, William dedicated many years of service to NC Baptist Hospital, working within both the Respiratory Department and the Security Division. He later continued his career with Penn Engineering, where he was employed as an engineer.

In his leisure time, William was an avid football enthusiast and a devoted lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins (Washington Commanders). He also had an undeniable passion for cooking and was known for his skill in the kitchen. To many, William was remembered as "the coolest brother"- steady, dependable and fiercely protective of his sisters, whom he loved deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kemp and Bernice Bullard; his grandparents, Emma and Lee Bullard and Lewis and Laura Thompson; and two sisters, Sylvia Jerrett and Ernestine Bullard.

He leaves to cherish his legacy his devoted love, Karen Blackwell Bullard; his children: William Jr., Nathaniel, Christopher, Michael and Marica; his sister, Almika "Candy" Williams (Frank); several grandchildren; his uncle and aunt: James "Tight Buddy" Thompson and Mary Nancy Comer; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Service of Love and Remembrance will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel in Winston-Salem.
