Bishop William Matthew Connelly, Jr. was born September 11, 1951 in Rockingham County, NC.He was preceded in death by his father William Sr. and a sister Isabelle Connally.Bishop heard the voice of Jesus and slipped away into eternal life on July 3, 2017 after a brief illness at Forsyth Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem) with visitation an hour prior to the service.Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.He pastored Salvation of Praise Ministry in Winston-Salem, NC for 7 years later becoming a member of Grace Ministries of Deliverance, Rev. E. W. Hayes, Pastor. He retired from the City of Winston-Salem Sanitation Division after 29 years of faithful service.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Okeather Connelly, 3 sons: Cleo Johnson, Sam Campbell, Pat Byrd; daughter Sertilya Campbell; mother Bettie Troxler Connally and a sister Shirley Ann Connally; 3 granchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, loving church members and friends
