Deacon William "Bill" Earl Harrell, 75, was born January 22, 1949 in Rich Square, North Carolina to Leroy Hardin and Rosa Mae Harrell-Grant. Deacon Harrell passed away on March 2, 2023 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Village Dr. and served on the usher board and was a Deacon. Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Vernon Watson, Sr. and a brother, Peoler "Mike" Grant.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Elizabeth W. Harrell; a son, Rodney Jones of Sanford, NC; a daughter, Barbara Jones (Ricky) Elam; a daughter-in-law, Romaine Watson; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; four brothers: Tim (Marie) Grant, Stoney (Fannie) Grant, Raymond (Pattie) Grant and James (Annie) Grant; two sisters, Mary Ann (Sandy) Long and Flora Dawson; four sisters-in-law; Carolyn Grant, Martha Brown, Masie (James) Lassiter, and Gladys (Raymond) Walser; two aunts, Carrie Garris and Rosa Harrell; a special friend, Early Boone and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The memorial service will be Saturday at First Baptist Church, Village Dr. at 2:00pm with family visitation at 1:30pm.
