Mr. William Hairston, Jr., 73, known to many as Roy, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1948 to William D. Hairston and Cora Threadgill Hairston.

He was educated in the Davidson County School system. He retired from Carolina Drawers.  Roy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jo Letha Wansley and Betty Cash.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gloria N Hairston; three sons: Donnie Lee (Becky) Hairston, Warren Hairston and William (Devon) Hairston; three daughters: Teresa Hopkins, Latonja Hairston and Monica (Kenneth) Peace; a sister, Hattie (Tom) Dewalt; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Linda Pringle; devoted niece, Angie Pringle and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel.  Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1-5pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
