William Louis Threadgill, 77 of Thomasville, NC, was called to his eternal rest on Friday, August 26, 2022 at his home after an extended illness of two years. He was born on September 26, 1944 in Burnsville, NC to the late Walter and Beatrice Richardson Threadgill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle; three brothers: Edward Threadgill, James Lee Threadgill and Walter Threadgill, Jr.
Deacon Threadgill was a faithful, life-long member of Cunningham Baptist Church. William's love for God and the Church is exemplified through his service for Kingdom Building. He served in numerous positions: Chairman of the Deacon Board, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Church Treasurer , member of the Senior Choir, Custodian and Grounds Keeper.
He was a 1962 graduate of Church Street School. He was employed with Cunningham Brick Company for 21 years prior to going to Thomasville Furniture Industries where he worked for 29 1/2 years as a supervisor in Machine Room 1A Department.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons: Walter William Threadgill of Thomasville, NC, Anthony Threadgill of Lexington, NC and Rodney Threadgill of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Melissa Threadgill and Latonia Threadgill of Thomasville, NC; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one sister, Reverend Patricia A. (Lewis) Ellison; special friends, Ms. Dannie Singletary and two dear friends, Ms. Joyce Melton and Ms. Ada Thomas of Thomasville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
