William J. West, of E. 9th St. Ext., departed this world on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

William, also known to his friends and family as Johnny, was born on November 23, 1955 in Robeson County, NC to George Currie West and Mary Ella Garner West Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Judy West Polk, Mary Elizabeth Lee and Betty C. Godwin.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Stan) Robinson; two grandsons, Patrick Lockhart and Jonathan Robinson; three brothers: Currie Tommy West, Wayne Stone and Jerry Stone; a sister, Mona Grace Fancera and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
