William Melvin White was born in Iredell County, North Carolina on June 14, 1959 to Rosa Lee and stepfather Jimmy Arnold. He was also loved and reared by two amazing fathers, Henry William "Sonny" White and Randolph Barker. His earthly journey ended at the age of sixty-two on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury, North Carolina.
William, affectionately known as "Easy," received his formal education in the Davie County School System. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. Upon returning to Davie County, William gained employment with The CSS Construction Company until his health began to decline.
William enjoyed life to the fullest. His favorite pastimes were fishing, talking to everyone, playing basketball (he believed he was in the NBA), listening to music, dancing to his favorite songs and watching television game shows.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Barbara Overcash White of the home; a son, William Jamal Wilson of Rockingham, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Aliyah Farmer and Amani Caldwell; three brothers: Randy Barker of Mocksville, North Carolina, Ron Barker and Foo Barker of New York; two sisters, Michelle White of Rowan County, North Carolina and Wanda Barker of New York; three best friends: Terry "Buster" White, Jamal Stephens and Maceo Redman; special friends: Jim and Cathy McCracken, Brenda Geter, Craig Williams, Jacqueline Cooke and Jackie Geter Hunter; a host of aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
