William Alfred Wingate, 73, passed Friday, October 24, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 12:30pm at Salem Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service.Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Public viewing will be Wednesday from 1-7pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born in Darlington, SC to the late Sam Wingate and Eula Garner Wingate on February 16, 1941. He retired from TFI and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Beverly H. Wingate; sons, Jeffery T. (Angela) Wingate, Todd (Kayona) Hearst, Chad Hearst and Johnnie (Vonda) Wingate; daughters, Debbie Wingate and Willie Ann Wingate; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
