Artemos Olonzo Vaughn, Jr. was born June 20, 1950 in Alamance County to Artemos Olonzo Vaughn, Sr. and Annie Azell Summer Vaughn. Tennie, as he was known by most, passed away on April 15, 2024 at his residence.
Artemos served in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed spreading the Good News of the Lord and helping others in his community. He owned and operated a boarding house. He was of the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Patricia Vaughn, James E. Vaughn, Jacqueline V. Allen and Michael Vaughn.
He leaves to cherish his memory seven children: DeAundra Pinnix, Tina (Antonio) Jefferson, Danielle Vaughn, Andrea "Nikki" (Deangelo) Tate, Morgan Cornell, Bridget Vaughn and Quinton Byrd; six grandchildren: Courtnei Clodfelter, Ashlei Clodfelter, Khalel Thorne, Khira Thorne, Kamille Lane and Karmello Lane; four great-grandchildren: Keagen Clodfelter, Brycen Clodfelter, Presten Brown and Elijah Byrd; a brother, Daniel Vaughn; three sisters: Letha Poole, Ethel Cameron and Marlene Hendrick and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 1:30pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation at 1:00pm. Burial will be Tuesday at 9:00am at Salisbury National Cemetery.
